I am sure it is already known that I do not really use this blog anymore, which is sort of a shame. However my other 3 blogs I am doing fine with. I have come up with some new years goals that I would like to share. The reason I want to publicly share them is for two reasons. 1. If you write it down your success rate goes up. 2. If you tell others your goal your success rate goes up. Therefore I want to achieve them.
I am fairly good at making goals and achieving them. Last year I wanted to lose weight, I lost 25 pounds. I have gained 5 of those pounds back, but whatever that is what this new year is for, and I think most of it is still left over holiday weight. My boyfriend's mother is a wicked cook.
Last year I wanted to run a 1/2 marathon I did it and I ran the whole way and I did it in 8:30 min mile pace.
Last year I wanted to have an internship that would help give me connections and launch my future career when I graduate this May. I completed that a few weeks ago.
The list goes on with jobs and finances and dating but the point of all this bragging is I set some goals and then I completed them. Here are my goals for 2012:
1. Lose 10-15 pounds.
2. Graduate (This one is kind of a given.)
3. Move to the City
4. Get a job that makes more than $10.00 an hour
5. Have a beautiful apartment with a nice big bed with a nice mattress. (You spend 1/3 of your life sleeping I deserve it.)
6. Run another 1/2 marathon
7. Do more resistance training & keep eating fruits and veggies over chocolate.
8. Always have $1,000 in savings. (This one is a bust, I love shopping.)
9. Study Scriptures Everyday.
10. Be temple worthy
11. Pray Always
12. Full tithe payer.
13. Always positive.
14. Never ever burn a bridge.
15. Stop being judgmental.
16. I want to travel some more too.
So I guess that is the wrap. These are my 16 main goals. Some of them carry over from last year, but I will strive to accomplish them through out my life. I love setting and accomplishing goals. I know that is nerdy but I love love love it. It feels so good. I have read a lot of self help books about goals and I know a ton of amazing ones that have changed my life. If anyone is interested let me know and you can borrow them. :) I want to wish everyone the best of luck with their New Years resolutions and have a good year 2012!
